Starting the Blog Again
![]()
There was no special reason. A few days ago I was looking through old code and notes and realised I had not written anything seriously in a long time.
I really could tinker back then
In college, seeing a new tool meant installing it that night. If I hit a bug, I refused to leave it alone until one of us had lost before bedtime.
It has been almost eight years since graduation. Now, if the code runs, I would rather not touch it. Finish the request, close the laptop, get some rest. Maybe that is maturity; maybe I have become lazy. It is probably some of both.
There is nothing wrong with playing a game or scrolling through videos after work. Rest is not a crime. But every now and then I look back and notice that I did quite a lot, yet barely remember what I was thinking while I did it.
Write it down first
So I want to pick the blog back up. Projects I built, mistakes I made, or a thought that appeared on an otherwise ordinary day — any of those is enough.
I am not promising a daily post or setting a yearly quota. Those goals usually turn into pressure, then into a task I avoid opening. I will publish this one first. The next post can wait until I actually have something to say.
This site is called Ashita, which means “tomorrow.” It suits me: write one thing today, and leave the rest for tomorrow.
